Ride the rainbow. The quirky 1995 Volkswagen Golf Mk3 known as the “Harlequin” was initially created for the auto show circuit, to cleverly show off the various colors available. This media stunt proved popular enough that Volkswagen made a total of 264 Harlequin models, which went on to become extremely rare collectibles. COLORFUL RIDE
Created to show off the 1995 Volkswagen Golf’s array of available paint colors, the “Harlequin” is celebrated for its quirkiness and rarity.
BEHIND THE DESIGN
The 1:1 version’s interchangeable doors, hoods, fenders, and bumpers gave it a distinctive look. Our 1:64 model is a “Ginster Yellow” because of its base color.
THE DETAILS
The rest of the Golf’s panel colors match the layout of the Ginster Yellow’s design. We added an opening hatchback so you can get a good look at the interior, too.
