Your unwavering support and enthusiasm for the Hot Wheels Virtual Garage has been legendary, and we’re incredibly grateful to have been on this journey with you. As we evaluate the changing world of virtual collectibles, we’ve determined the time has come to end our Series and Feature Drops in 2025 and onward.

We know this will be disappointing to many of you, and expect you’ll have lots of questions about what this means for the future and for the collections you’ve built. We’ve tried to answer as many of them as possible below. If you don’t find the information you’re looking for, please visit our support page or reach out to our customer service team.

What is happening with the Hot Wheels Virtual Garage program?

The Hot Wheels Virtual Garage will no longer be releasing any new Series or Feature Drops for the foreseeable future. However, the Mattel Creations “My Collection” page in your account and the Mattel Digital Collectibles Marketplace will both remain active and operate normally while we assess the program’s long-term future.

Will there be any more drops in the future?

At this time, there are no plans to introduce any new Series or Feature Drops, while the long-term future of Mattel Virtual Collectibles is being evaluated.

Will I still be able to get my redeemable die-cast cars for past drops and Completion Rewards?

Yes. All existing and outstanding redemptions - including Batman (Classic TV Series Batmobile™), the 2023 Series Completion Car (Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R), the Master Set Reward, Series 10, and the 2024 Series Completion Car (Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4) - will be fulfilled as promised.

What will happen to the Virtual Collectibles I currently own?

All Virtual Collectible owners will continue to own their Virtual Collectibles. Owners can continue to access their Virtual Collectibles through both the Mattel Creations “My Collection” page and the Mattel Digital Collectibles Marketplace. Additionally, owners will still be able to buy, sell, and trade Virtual Collectibles on the Mattel Digital Collectibles Marketplace. We are developing a long-term plan for Virtual Collectibles and will share updates with the community in the future.

Will I still be able to buy and sell my collectibles on the Mattel Digital Collectibles Marketplace?

Yes, the Mattel Digital Collectibles Marketplace will remain open and active through at least 2025, allowing users to buy, sell, and trade Virtual Collectibles. We are assessing the long-term future of the platform and will provide updates as they become available.

Can I still interact with other fans in the Hot Wheels Virtual Garage community on Discord?

Yes. We will continue to actively manage the Hot Wheels community and engage with our fans on Discord for the foreseeable future.

Will customer support still be available for Virtual Collectibles?

Yes. Customer Support will remain available for Virtual Collectibles as long as the platform is live. You can continue to contact us as normal for any questions or concerns regarding your Virtual Collectibles via our support page or by reaching out to our customer service team.

Are there plans to revive the Virtual Collectibles program in the future and offer new drops?

Not at this time. However, we will continue to evaluate the long-term future of the Virtual Collectibles program and will share updates as they become available.

Can I transfer my Virtual Collectibles to another wallet or marketplace?

Not at this time. However, we are exploring future options for managing Virtual Collectibles, including potential transferability to other wallets or marketplaces. More details will be shared as they become available.
