Mark Ryden Barbie Drop
KEEPING IT SURREAL
Mark Ryden's Pink Pop gallery exhibit highlights our beloved trailblazer, reimagined through a Pop Surrealist lens. We were beyond thrilled to partner with Ryden on the pop-up gallery and four limited-edition Barbie dolls.
A POP OF COLOR
“Pink Pop” is the name of the gallery exhibit and the first of our exclusive dolls. Wearing candy-striped tights and a dress that matches her bright pink hair, while accompanied by a smiling yak, Pink Pop Barbie is a vision in her signature color.
THE BEE’S KNEES
Barbie Bee is everything you’d expect — and plenty of things you wouldn’t. She’s enshrouded in yellow and black faux fur and has translucent wings. Her makeup and black nail polish cap off her buzz-worthy look.
BELLES OF THE BALL
The Surrealist Ball 2-Pack offers a set of dolls wearing gowns designed with jewels, universe motifs, and Ryden’s iconography A dodecahedron called “The Oculus” sits atop a geometric pedestal between them, adding to the otherworldly scene.
BIZARRE BEAUTY
Things get even more surreal in the Mark Ryden x Barbie capsule collection, with accessories like enamel pins, a postcard set, tote bag, brooch, “Pink Pop” umbrella, and highly coveted handbag.
POP ART
To celebrate the opening of Mark Ryden x Barbie at the Kasmin Gallery pop-up, we’re releasing autographed, editioned lithographs of the “Pink Pop” painting. These prints will be available at MattelCreations.com on November 10th at 6 PM PT.
A NATURAL WONDER
The showstopper of the collaboration is Ryden's one-of-a-kind sculpture and doll, Nature Queen. On display exclusively at the pop-up gallery event, this Barbie looks majestic in a dress featuring over 30 3-D printed animals and embroidered flowers. She wears a gold crown on top of bright chartreuse hair and is partnered with a hive, gazing-eye tree stump, and oversized bees.
