We partnered with Daniel Arsham to curate a series inspired by Hot Wheels and our mutual love of car culture. The Deora II reimagines of one of the Hot Wheels “Original Sweet 16” castings released in 1968. A millennium’s rigors have been applied in Arsham’s vision, but its identity remains as an artifact of southern California surfing car culture. Inspired by a sample of patinated bronze from Arsham’s foundry, the car’s Silkstone material enables the fusion of antique and contemporary aesthetics.
