HOT WHEELS GARAGE OF LEGENDS

For over 50 years, Hot Wheels has pushed the limits of performance and design, creating over 25,000 unique models. Few of these cars earn the distinction of being inducted into the Hot Wheels Garage of Legends, our elite collection representing the best of the best. Whether they started as a 1:64-scale die-cast car and were later built life-sized, or were scaled down from production vehicles, this fleet has the originality creativity, authenticity and blow-your-mind performance capabilities that make you say, “Those are some Hot Wheels.”

2001 Twin Mill

The very first life-size car based on a Hot Wheels® design, the full-scale Twin Mill was commissioned in 1998 for the 30th anniversary of Hot Wheels. Unveiled in 2001 at the SEMA show, the Twin Mill’s two Chevy big-block engines are not just for display—this fully operational racer produces upwards of 1400 horsepower.

2003 Deora II

One of the most unique Hot Wheels® designs, the first Deora die-cast car was introduced as one of the Original 16 Hot Wheels that debuted in 1968. It’s been a fan favorite ever since. In preparation for the 35th anniversary of Hot Wheels in 2003, this full-scale concept car was created as an homage to the groundbreaking spirit and bold originality embodied by the Original Stunt Brand.

1968 Beach Bomb

No matter the season, the Beach Bomb brings with it a little bit of endless summer. Originally made in 1969, the Beach Bomb 1:64 die-cast has become one of the most sought-after vintage castings. With an eye-catching Spectraflame™ pink finish, the full-scale Beach Bomb celebrates the simple elegance and carefree attitude of the die-cast original.

1966 Pontiac GTO

This classic muscle car—affectionately referred to as “The Goat”—was the vehicle that started the muscle car craze in the 1960s. The full-size Hot Wheels® GTO was unveiled for the first time at the 2006 SEMA show (Specialty Equipment Market Association) in Las Vegas, turning heads and dropping jaws the same way it did back in 1966.

2011 Bone Shaker

Perhaps no design embodies the Hot Wheels® spirit as much Bone Shaker. One of the most popular Hot Wheels ever, Bone Shaker was originally designed as a die-cast toy in 2006 by Chief Designer Larry Wood and then built into its full-scale iteration in 2011. A fan-favorite rat rod with a chromed-out skull grill, this iconic design has been refreshed several times, most recently for the 2019 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

2011 Baja Truck

Turning heads both off-road and up in the air, this custom off-road racing Pro-2 truck, piloted by Tanner Foust, broke records back in 2011 by jumping 332 feet while traveling 110 mph. This high-flying dynamo also features a suspension system that can flex up to 18 inches to accommodate a hard landing or spring for a takeoff.

2012 Bad To The Blade

Looking like it was sent here from the future, this advanced Indy car concept was created by Hot Wheels® designer Fraser Campbell and showcased in the Hot Wheels Fearless at the 500 event at the 100th anniversary of the Indy 500 in 2011. Known for its blistering speed, Bad to the Blade was featured in the Hot Wheels for Real online series, where it defied gravity by driving upside down!

2012 Loop Coupe

Built to defy gravity, these Guinness World Record-breaking cars were driven by Tanner Foust (gray car) and Greg Tracy (green car) at the 2012 X Games in Los Angeles—racing two life-size Hot Wheels® cars through the Hot Wheels Double Dare Loop stunt! To prepare for the 7 G’s of force they would experience, the drivers practiced loops and inversions in stunt planes.

2012 Rip Rod

What’s the only thing better than one Rip Rod? TWO Rip Rods. The blue version was built for the 2015 SEMA show and boasts a 1-litre Ford Ecoboost Engine. The black model, affectionately known as the “Red Ripper,” is outfitted with a 900cc Polaris engine and was created to perform a backflip on the live-action web series Hot Wheels® World’s Best Driver.

1971 Chevrolet El Camino

Purchased by Mattel in 2012 for use at the Hot Wheels® test facility, this car has appeared in the stunt-filled web series Hot Wheels World’s Best Driver. The one of-a-kind El Camino has custom NASCAR suspension, super-light carbon fiber wings and flaps for air-braking at extreme speeds, multiple turbos for instant boost, Flowmaster exhaust and nitrous boosters.

2012 Team Hot Wheels Buggy

While this car looks like it was made for the dunes, it’s probably actually spent more time in the air. The aerodynamic buggy executed the longest and highest corkscrew jump—92 feet, ramp-to-ramp, in a 360-degree spiral—at the Hot Wheels® test facility, breaking some world records along the way.

2013 Chevrolet Camaro SS

Even at full-scale, this car followed the Hot Wheels® tradition of being wildly popular and flying off the shelves. When Hot Wheels partnered with Chevy to create the first life-size version of a die-cast car ever sold at dealerships, all 1500 Camaros that were produced sold out in 3 months, making this kinetic-blue beauty even more unique.

2012 Star Wars Darth Vader™ Car

Don’t believe this is one of the baddest cars around? We find your lack of faith disturbing. Debuting at the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con to celebrate the first-ever partnership between Hot Wheels® and Star Wars, this sleek and sinister car features sound effects of heavy breathing evocative of the Sith Lord himself. Propelled by both a V8 engine and the power of the Force, it’s the ultimate Dark Side ride.

1968 Midas Monkey

Created by the legendary builders at Gas Monkey Garage, this ‘68 Chevrolet Corvette was dubbed the “Midas Monkey” due to its sparkling gold exterior. It features a 427 blown big-block, custom metal flake paint and custom exhaust. The Midas Monkey’s extensive build was documented on the hit Discovery Channel show Fast n' Loud.

2005 Ford Mustang GT

To celebrate a long and fruitful partnership with Ford, Hot Wheels® designed a souped-up version of this iconic American automobile. The late-model muscle car was modified by Hot Wheels for the 2014 SEMA show and Mustang’s 50th anniversary, adding another Pony to a long line of Mustangs.

2016 Star Wars X-Wing Fighter™ Carship

The Force is strong with this one—and so is the horsepower. The iconic X-wing fighter from the Star Wars universe was re-imagined as a high-performance Hot Wheels® race car, making it one of the coolest vehicles in the galaxy. Built with circuit racing performance in mind, this car flies at a velocity just short of light speed.

1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS

It all started with the Camaro. Even though this model was the first vehicle Hot Wheels® ever created at 1:64 scale, the iconic design remains larger than life. Created for a 2017 Hot Wheels commercial titled “The Drive,” two versions were made—one hero car for interior shots, the other a high-performance car built for action scenes. This model of Camaro launched the entire Hot Wheels brand, and the full-size version is still going strong as a prominent member of the Garage of Legends™.

1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS (Ornamental Conifer Edition)

This custom ’67 Camaro debuted at SEMA 2019 and was painted by British artist Nicolai Sclater, who goes by the moniker Ornamental Conifer. Inspired by his own childhood memories, Sclater challenged himself to design a deco that symbolizes “perpetual childhood” and the joy you feel—at any age—when you pick up a Hot Wheels®.

2018 Chevrolet Camaro (HotWheels 50th Special Edition)

In 1968, the first-ever Hot Wheels® debuted in the form of a Custom Camaro die-cast. In 2018, things came full circle when GM celebrated Hot Wheels’ 50th anniversary by launching this special edition Chevrolet Camaro, a follow-up to the wildly popular full-size Hot Wheels Camaro that debuted in 2013. Pairing the iconic Hot Wheels design with the exhilarating precision and power of the sixth-generation Camaro, this head-turning vehicle brings the iconic toy to life in a full-scale version.

2018 Chevrolet Camaro-COPO

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Hot Wheels®, GM created the COPO Camaro, a factory-built drag racer that can blow the doors off of anything in its path. This slick speedster features an exclusive Orange Crush exterior color and a unique Hot Wheels appearance package. Only 69 COPO’s were produced, so interested buyers had to register for a chance to purchase one at a price tag of $165,450.

2018 2-Jetz

The first-ever winner of the Hot Wheels™ Legends Tour, 2JetZ was entirely hand-built by Luis Rodriguez, who was inspired by the record-breaking automobiles that raced the Bonneville Salt Flats, jet-powered aircraft, and a sketch from Hot Wheels designer Dwayne Vance.This car is futuristic yetretro all at once, epitomizing the creativity, originality and garage spirit that make the Hot Wheels Legends Tourso popular.

1957 Nash Metropolitan™

Winner of the 2019 Hot Wheels Legends Tour, “The Nash” beat out nearly 5,000 competitors to take the crown. Builders Greg Salzillo and Dave Ford wanted the Nash to stand out from most custom cars, foregoing polish and perfection for a distressed paint job and steel wheels that stick out from the body. An instant fan favorite, The Nash was the second Legends Tour winner to be made into a 1:64 scale die-cast.
