MEET THE MANGUSTA! A MODENA MASTERPIECE
If you visit Modena, Italy, there’s a spirit in the air that says, “Italian sports cars!” In 1959, Alejandro De Tomaso founded De Tomaso Automobili in Modena. By the late ’60s, he’d introduced the Mangusta, their first mass-produced car, and this 1971 edition represents the last year they made the model. One of the most eye-catching sports cars ever, it had to become a Hot Wheels casting!
In addition to being the first release of this casting, it’s also the first time we’ve included opening gull-wing covers for a rear-mounted engine. Other amazing features include the Spectraflame orange chassis, detailed interior, and thicker tires on the rear Real Riders racing wheels. Carefully perched under an acrylic case, this molto bello classic should be a part of your collection!
