How it started

How it started How it started

WE BEGAN HERE IN 1945. YES, IN A GARAGE.

OUTSIDE, THE ONLY VISIBLE HINT AT WHAT WAS TO COME WERE THE WORDS “MATTEL CREATIONS.”

It was an ordinary-looking sign hanging outside an ordinary-looking garage tucked away in an industrial area. But inside, our founders were already tinkering, experimenting, and creating the future of play.

How it’s going

OUR GARAGE HAS GROWN A LITTLE.

Well, actually a lot. And our passion for wielding imagination and creativity to inspire the world to play remains the same. In the spirit of where it all started, we created a place to share our love of play: Mattel Creations. This premier collector destination is where people from all over the world can explore (and get their hands on) the amazing toys and art we make.

This platform is a source for bespoke collectibles created for, and often designed by, fans who share our love and nostalgia for the amazing brands in Mattel’s portfolio. It’s a chance for everyone to relive their obsession with a story, character, or toy they love.

Mattel Creations is more than a marketplace, it’s a platform for community and content that can’t be found anywhere else.
