A pioneer in the art world, Keiichi Tanaami perfected his craft for more than 60 years. To celebrate his career retrospective in Tokyo, we offered him three of our most iconic brands to use as a blank canvas. We are grateful to have partnered with him before his passing earlier this month, and hope these collectibles continue to honor his life and legacy.

Our dynamic Barbie doll wears a multi-colored dress featuring a 3D face and crab along with a vibrant yellow headdress — all nodding to Tanaami’s culture. Her beauty inspired a life-sized sculpture to be displayed at his career retrospective in Tokyo.
