Future Me Problems taps into all the responsibilities we would rather put off but in a way only lazy lumps like us can truly appreciate. It's a card game that not only celebrates procrastination—it rewards you for it! We teamed up with Sarah Andersen to help produce this hilarious card game based on her award-winning webcomic, Sarah’s Scribbles. Here’s how it works:

  • You have two decks of cards - the SCHEDULE DECK and the ACTIVITY DECK.
  • Schedule cards allow you to draw Activity cards. Sometimes you’ll draw annoying RESPONSIBILITIES that COST you points. Other times you’ll draw happy little DISTRACTIONS that EARN you points.
  • Every Activity card you draw brings you closer to the LARGE, IMPORTANT TASK card lurking somewhere in the middle of the deck so you’ll need to be professional about your procrastination.
  • Once someone draws the LARGE, IMPORTANT TASK card the game ends and the player with the most points from their Activity cards wins.

Just play your Schedule cards right and you can force the other players to deal with all the responsibilities. Future Me Problems is for 2-4 players ages 7-100+, and each game lasts about 20-30 minutes. But before you can start playing, we need you to support the game…

@ 5,000 Backers – You get the Future Me Problems Card Game PLUS Exclusive Mattel Creations Bonus Cards featuring 12 Activity Cards you can’t get anywhere else

@ 10,000 Backers – You get the Future Me Problems Card Game PLUS Exclusive Mattel Creations Bonus Cards PLUS Exclusive Fuzzy Packaging AND an Exclusive Squishy Playmat

@ 25,000 Backers – You get ALL of the above AND the Pets Expansion Pack featuring 42 Activity Cards all about pets!

See? The more backers the game gets, the more bonus perks you get. Win. Win. So encourage your friends, family, neighbors, and “randos” on the street to do the same to bring a fun message of procrastination to the world!

FUTURE ME PROBLEMS - FAQ

How does this Future Me Problems crowdfunding campaign work?

If we reach our goal of 5,000 pre-orders before the campaign ends on 5/4/22, the Future Me Problems Game will go into production and be shipped to backers in the Fall of 2022 (estimated). If the goal isn’t met by that end date, the project will be canceled, and all money refunded.

The more pre-orders we get, the more add-on items (shown above) we can include in the game – the Mattel Creations-exclusive playmat and Mattel Creations-exclusive premium box with 10,000+ backers, and the Pets Expansion Pack with 25,000+ backers. So help spread the word with your friends!

When will I be charged?

No worries—you won’t actually be charged unless the campaign reaches the minimum goal of 5,000 backers by 4/27/22. The pre-order amount will show as “pending” on your credit card statement until that date. If the campaign has been a success, your payment will then be processed. If not, your pre-order will be canceled, and the pending charge will disappear.

Do you accept refunds or cancellations?

You may cancel your pre-order during the campaign period by calling Customer Service at 1-800-858-0102, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. ET. (Please note, holiday hours may vary). After the campaign period ends, on 5/4/22 at 9:00 p.m. PT, there will be no refunds or exchanges.

Where do you ship to?

In most cases, we ship to P.O. boxes, APO/FPOs, the U.S. territories, Alaska, and Hawaii through the U.S. Postal Service. A standard surcharge may apply to large or heavy items. We can ship to any country listed in the “Country” field that appears on the Shipping page of your checkout process. International Shipping restrictions may apply.
